Welcome to the Delta Service Through Detroit Foundation, Inc. (DSTDFI) Web Site! DSTDFI was founded in 1999 and remains committed and engaged in public service programs that promote inter-generational activities for our community via organized educational, historical and cultural programs that improve the quality of life for future generations.

Over the years, DSTDFI has directed its charitable giving toward program initiatives reflected in our founding mission. We are especially pleased with our history of providing educational and senior services in the Metropolitan Detroit area, co-sponsoring a CDF-Freedom School and Back to School activities. We also support various community groups with a similar mission and provide scholarship funds. For the past few years, our Annual Golf Classic has allowed us to contribute to charitable organizations whose mission is similar to ours.

In September of 2017, DSTDFI proudly launched the historic construction plans for DSTDFI Legacy Place - “A Living Record of Excellence Brick by Brick”. DSTDFI Legacy Place will be prominently located on the grounds of DSTDFI Headquarters, 24760 W. Seven Mile Road Detroit, MI 48219, and will be accessible to the public. This site will be paved with purchased customized bricks that shall serve as a living tribute to Detroit Deltas and those faithful supporters who have shared our belief in a lifetime commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

In addition to preserving our legacy of excellence, DSTDFI Legacy Place Brick Project is also a capital campaign designed to: (1) reduce the mortgage, (2) reduce DWSD water rates, and (3) beautify the landscape of DSTDFI Headquarters. Upon completion of the brick project, our goal is to partner with other community organizations to educate and empower Detroit residents with low-impact storm water practices which will aid in the reduction of their increased DWSD water rates as well.

Our directors, and the organizations that partner with us are constantly at work to improve the quality of life in the Metropolitan Detroit community.

Warmest greetings,

Jessye Verona Franklin

DSTDFI President
